COPENHAGEN: Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen stayed in emergency clinic and was in stable condition on Sunday, in the wake of falling during his side's Euro 2020 opening match with Finland and being given CPR on the pitch on Saturday, the Danish football affiliation said. 


"Today we have addressed Christian Eriksen, who has sent his good tidings to his colleagues. His condition is steady, and he keeps on being hospitalized for additional assessment," Danish FA DBU said on Twitter. 

Eriksen, 29, fallen out of nowhere in the 42nd moment of the match while running close to one side touchline after a Denmark toss in. As a quiet fell over the 16,000-in number group, his colleagues assembled around him while he was treated on the pitch and afterward carted away on a cot. 


"The group and the staff of the public group has gotten emergency help and will keep on being there for one another after the previous occurrence," DBU said. 


"We might want to thank everybody for the sincere good tidings to Christian Eriksen from fans, players, the illustrious families from both Denmark and England, worldwide affiliations, clubs and so forth," it said. 


Messages of help for Eriksen, who plays for Inter Milan, have poured in. 


The Group B game was stopped and afterward ultimately restarted an hour and after 45 minutes. Finland proceeded to win 1-0.
